Privacy
Short, because there is not much of it.
This page covers oneappcamp.com and the sales email sent from it. It does not cover The One App itself — the product a camp logs into — which has a far longer policy at theoneapp.camp/privacy-policy, and which is the one that matters if you are already a client.

1. The website
These are static pages. There is no form to fill in, no account to create and nothing to buy, so there is nothing here for you to hand over.
We set no cookies and we run no analytics or advertising scripts — no Google Analytics, no Meta pixel, no retargeting tag of any kind. Visiting this site does not put you in an audience anywhere.
The hosting, which is Amazon Web Services, keeps the ordinary web server log that every site on the internet produces: the page requested, the time, the IP address and the browser. It is kept briefly, used to see that the site is working and to deal with abuse, and it is not tied to a name. One typeface is loaded from Google Fonts, so your browser makes a request to Google to fetch it; that is the only outside company in the page.
If we ever add visitor measurement here, this section is where it will be described, before it is switched on rather than after.
2. The contact information we hold
If we have written to you, we hold a business record and nothing more: your name, your work email address, your role where we know it, the camp or retreat center you work for, and its public phone number or website. Alongside it we keep the history of our own correspondence — what we sent, when, whether it bounced, and your reply if you sent one.
3. Where it came from
Public and professional business sources: your organization's own website, industry directories and association listings, conference and trade-show attendee lists, referrals from people in the industry, and previous conversations with us. We have not bought a consumer list and we have not taken anything from a personal account. We will tell you the specific source for your own record if you ask — the longer explanation is here.
4. What we can tell about an email we sent
Worth stating plainly, because most senders leave it out. For a message we send we can generally see that it was delivered or that it bounced, that it was opened, and that a link in it was clicked. That is normal business email measurement and it is how we know whether to follow up or to leave you alone — a message nobody opened is a message we should stop sending.
It is not reliable and we do not treat it as if it were. Many mail systems load images and follow links automatically on your behalf, which registers as an open or a click that you never made. We never use it to work out where you are, what else you read, or anything about you beyond whether our own message landed.
5. What is never in our records
Anything about the people who come to your camp. No guest or camper records, no information about children, no medical or dietary information, no emergency contacts, no payment or bank details. Where The One App holds that for a camp, it is that camp's data held under the product's own policy and its own contract — it is not in our sales system, it is not something we look at, and it has no connection to our writing to you.
6. The companies that handle it for us
We do not sell, rent or trade contact information. Nobody pays us for it and we do not give it to an advertising platform from this domain.
It is processed by the providers that run our business, under contract and only for the job we hired them to do: Amazon Web Services for hosting, Google Workspace for this domain's mail, and a customer relationship system for keeping track of conversations. If you book a call through the scheduling link on this site, that booking is handled by HubSpot and the details you enter go to them as well as to us. We may also disclose information where the law requires it.
7. How long we keep it
A contact record stays while there is a conversation worth having and for a reasonable period afterward. Correspondence history is kept as a business record. Web server logs are rotated away after a short period. An opt-out is kept indefinitely, which is section 8.
8. Opting out, and why the list still has your address
Reply to any message and say stop, email support@theoneapp.camp, or call (833) 409-0033. One line is enough and you never have to say why.
Here is the part most policies leave out. When you opt out we delete the contact record but we deliberately keep your email address on a suppression list — because the only way to guarantee you are never mailed again is to hold the address and check every future send against it. Deleting it entirely would mean the next list we build could pick you up again from the same public source and start over. The suppression list is used for nothing else, it is never mailed, and it covers every domain we send from at once. If you would rather we erased the address outright and accepted that risk, say so and we will.
9. Rights, and the law we send under
Our sales email is commercial email to businesses under the United States CAN-SPAM Act. That means an accurate sender and subject line, a working way to opt out, and the opt-out honored promptly. We hold ourselves to faster than the law requires.
Depending on your state you may have the right to know what we hold about you, to get a copy, to correct it, and to have it deleted. Several state laws treat business contact information differently from consumer information; we are not going to argue the point with you. Ask for any of those and we will do it, without asking you to prove where you live and without treating you differently afterward.
We do not sell personal information and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising from this domain.
